On Tour with The Bark of the Bog Owl by Jonathan Rogers (AND A GIVEAWAY)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Joining the Christian Science Fiction and Fantasy Blog Alliance was one of the best decisions I've made in a long time! I have discovered some wonderful new authors to love, and Jonathan Rogers makes that list.

"The Bark of the Bog Owl" is the first book in The Wilderking Trilogy, a series for young teens and tweens. Based on the story of King David, this first volume is total entertainment. Think Old Testament meets The Shire!

Aidan is the youngest of five Errol's sons. Often out tending sheep while his brothers tend to more important matters, Aidan longs to do something great and wonderful in his king's service.

But when the old prophet Bayard the Truthspeaker comes to call, Aidan's future takes a surprising turn. Foretold as the future king of Corenwald, Aidan's life becomes a training ground for future possibilities.

For instance, meeting the feechiefolk becomes pivotal...and fun! First there's Dobro, then Rabbo, then Tonko...and then Frodo, and Bilbo....Oops! My bad! Got my feechies mixed with my hobbits:-)

But the feechiefolk are just as much fun as the hobbits, and I loved reading about them. Aidan's status as feechiefriend comes in handy later on when he...oh, you almost tricked me into telling you how it ends....

You'll just have to get a copy of "The Bark of the Bog Owl" and begin this wonderful trilogy for yourself. I give it four out of five bookmarks with a panther charm...see if you can figure out why!

My son and I are on the hunt for more of the Wilderking Trilogy...so watch for more reviews!

Wanna win a copy?? Leave me a comment...I'll pick a winner on October 31st!!!

Happy Reading!

Deena

I'm leaving a comment but don't need to enter your drawing since I already have the book.

I love your take on the series, Deena--the Bible meets the Shire. Great concept seller. You should go into business writing fiction concepts for authors. ;-)

Wonderful review.
