I can honestly say I've never read a Kathy Herman novel I didn't absolutely love, and her latest release is no exception to that rule!
We first met Ivy Griffith in "Ever Present Danger". Running from her past never got Ivy anywhere, but when she decides to confront her mistakes head on, she ends up with far more than she bargained for.
In "Never Look Back", Ivy has paid her debt and is ready for a fresh start. Problem is, can she let go of her past long enough to embrace her future? And what exactly does her future hold?
Struggling to stay sober, and to be a single mom to son Montana, Ivy takes a job at her parents' resort. There she meets two eligible bachelors: Luke Draper and Rue Kessler. Ivy immediately hits it off with one of the men...and the question arises: is she in love with a killer?
Someone is preying on the elderly, beating them senseless and robbing them of inconsequential items. Who would be vicious enough to do this? And what about that old hermit who lives with all those cats...what is he hiding? Does he know something about these attacks?
The journey to discovery is always an entertaining one...Kathy gives you so many red herrings, you could pickle them and make a sandwich! But keeping her readers guessing is only one thing I love about Kathy.
The spiritual journey to discovery is one I never want to miss. Just as Ivy needs to let go and accept God's total and complete forgiveness, I often find myself struggling with the same concept. And Kathy has a way of driving a spiritual truth home with love and finesse that I find so appealing!
I give "Never Look Back" six out of five bookmarks with a tiny Tiffany lamp as a delicate charm...you know the drill: you have to read the book to find out why! But you won't want to miss a moment with Ivy, Montana and the wonderful cast of characters found in Phantom Hollow.
The saddest thing is...only one more book to look forward to:-(
Then again, that means she's GOT to be cooking up something great for the NEXT series, right?? Excuse me...I have an author to email!! To buy a copy, click here.
Oh, I almost forgot...WANNA WIN A COPY??? Leave me a comment...I'm picking TWO winners on October 31st!!
Happy Reading!
