Abomination by Colleen Coble

Finally, we get another trip to Rock Harbor, and it is a trip WELL worth taking! While some consider this the fourth in a series, "Abomination" is Colleen Coble's stand alone novel that takes us back to a well known and well traveled locale.

Bree, Davey and Samson are all back in this suspenseful novel. Bree and Kade are now married, and life has settled into a sense of normalcy...until Bree stumbles upon a woman who has obviously been attacked.

With no memory of what has happened, the mystery woman and her two year old daughter temporarily move in with Bree and Kade. Together, they try to unravel her past and to uncover who tried to kill her.

But a serial killer is on the move, and it seems he has made his way to their sleepy little town. The questions swirl in the atmosphere of Rock Harbor:

Could this person and "Elena"'s attacker be one and the same? Can Captain Nikos Andreakos get to Rock Harbor before the killer strikes again? And has his own wife become a victim in this latest string of killings?

Curious clues, a glimpse into the fascinating world of geocaching, and another chance to remember beloved characters from the previous novels in this series...all add up to a page turning read that will keep you guessing until the very end.

One loose thread runs through this story, but I can't tell you what it is for fear of unraveling part of the book...but Colleen ties it up nice and neat at the end...a little too nice, but it works for the telling of this tale.

"Abomination" gets four out of five bookmarks from me...I've been looking forward to this story for a long, long time...and I can say it was worth the wait!

Happy Reading!
