It's Faith n' Fiction Saturday at My Friend Amy's, and this is one I just HAD to answer!!
One thing we share in common is a love of books. I know there are participants of Faith 'n Fiction Saturdays that read over 200 books a year!
But while we may read a lot of books, only a few books in our lifetimes are special enough that we would never part with them, always recommend them, and maybe even reread them.
So...what fiction books with faith elements are on your keeper shelf? Please keep your answers to no more than 5 books!
Amy cheated by listing series' as one book...naughty Amy:-) But I can see why she'd do that...with so much great reading to choose from!
My list is as follows:
1) Riven by Jerry Jenkins
2) Chasing Fireflies by Charles Martin
3) When Crickets Cry by Charles Martin
4) Blink of an Eye (Formerly just "Blink") by Ted Dekker
5) Anything by Randy Singer
So, I just cheated a little bit:-) But no doubt about it, if I was only allowed to keep my Bible and one work of fiction...it would be "Riven".
So, what about your list??
Happy Reading!
I've heard good things about Riven. Guess I'd better read it. ;)
ReplyDeleteHmm - I have not read ANY of these - thanks for the leads for good reads!
ReplyDeleteMine are up at Free Spirit - http://tinyurl.com/br2qac
Randy Singer gets a big thumbs up from me as well. Can't wait to read his next one!!
ReplyDeleteInteresting how many of us simply cannot keep to five! Neither could I! lol Thanks for sharing. Happy F+F Day.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Riven - should add that to my list. I've read a few of Randy Singer - good stuff. It's so hard to choose among so many great books!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Riven, but how Brady chose to carry out his sentence was just too unrealistic for me. I understand what he was trying to say/do. Will have to check out the Charles Martin books.
ReplyDeleteReally wanted to read "Riven". I haven't tried "Blink" yet. The others I haven't heard of.

Good list Deena! I forgot to include Charles Martin's books in my list. His books are amazing. I loved Riven as well! It was so hard to choose!
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better!
Tami
LOL, Tami! I forgot Charles too! When Crickets Cry is one of my most favourite books :)
ReplyDeleteI still need to check out Riven!
